In midwifery and antenatal care, Tegan provides early antenatal advice and care, including abdominal palpation and clinical observations for both mother and baby. She supports parents with newborn care, offers postpartum assistance including breastfeeding and nutritional guidance, conducts six-week postnatal checks, and helps parents with contraceptive choices after birth.
Tegan’s expertise in women’s and family health encompasses women’s reproductive and sexual health, as well as child and family healthcare. She is proficient in Implanon insertion and removal, cervical screening, and delivering comprehensive sexual and reproductive health support.
In general practice nursing, Tegan plays an integral role within the primary healthcare team at GP Collective, striving to improve patient outcomes through continuity of care. Her responsibilities include risk identification, screening, and triage, overseeing infusions, collaborating with GPs on care planning and chronic disease management, proactively contacting at-risk patients, supporting practice accreditation through policy development, and managing My Health Records data integration.
